Massawa Restaurant

Very rundown restaurant, which somehow adds to the experience.Good Ethiopian food. I found the Injera a little more sour than what I previously had, and I liked it.No alcoholic drinks here, but they have Bundaberg, so that's acceptable :)

Eat with your hands. It tastes better, improves your dexterity, and reminds us that we are peaceful beings. Also, the injeri here is bomb. We appreciate the cruelty-free options, and we hope Massawa will go full vegan soon.

Ethiopian food in San Francisco. This is possibly the best place I have found till now.Their vegetarian and non-vegetarian platters are great value for money deals which come under 20 dollars each. Great to share amongst 2-3 people. The bread is unlimited portion with this so you can have enough. There will be three curries in a platter and you can mix and match from the menu choices of 7-1 items for vegetarian and non-vegetarian each.My favorites amongst veg were lentils, zucchini , mushroom curries.
